Informal chat in office: One of my collegues comes and proudly tells me,"My son was asked to stand in class by the teacher. He beat up one guy." I dont know for what reason, but we all feel a sense of joy and pride when our niece, nephew, son or any other little devil that we care about beats someone up in school. Maybe we do look at the world as a selfish and unforgiving place, where one has to use force to get one's rights. Well, the words may be a bit too brutal, but the essence is more or less the same. Anyways, it so happens that the boy who got beaten up was named Williams. My collegue's son is very modest. Williams is just one guy, he quickly explains.
This line would never have occured to me...nor to Arun or Gautam, methinks... Theres something fresh in the humour of children..
